by World of Outlaws

Sheldon Haudenschild will part ways with Stenhouse Jr. Marshall Racing at the end of the 2025 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season.

The Wooster, OH native is set to depart after eight seasons with SJM Racing, which includes more than 40 wins – currently placing him 19th on the all-time wins list. They earned a career-best fourth-place finish in Series points in 2020.

Haudenschild first joined the No. 17 team, co-owned by Daytona 500 champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr., in 2017, following his Rookie of the Year campaign with Haudenschild Racing in the No. 93.

“Driving the number 17 has been an incredible chapter in my career,” Haudenschild said. “I’m thankful to Ricky, Richard (Marshall), the crew, and all of our partners for the opportunities we’ve had together. We’ve made some great memories, and I’ll always value my time with this team.”

“We at SJMR are so proud of what we’ve accomplished together with Sheldon over the past eight seasons,” SJM Racing said in a team statement. “It’s been a great run with more than 40 wins, and we’re aiming to add a few more before the season ends. We are grateful for everything him and Kyle (Ripper, the team’s crew chief) have done for our team, and we wish them nothing but success in the future.”

In Haudenschild Racing’s statement, it was added that Haudenschild and Ripper are excited to build on their success and focus on the future in 2026.

Haudenschild and the NOS Energy Drink No. 17 team will finish out the remaining 20 races of the World of Outlaws 2025 season together, which includes Sheldon Haudenschild’s Buckeye Brawl presented by NOS Energy Drink at Millstream Speedway on Friday, Sept. 26.

As of Labor Day weekend, he and the team sit fifth in Series points with two wins this season – the first at Tri-State Speedway in April and the second at Red River Valley Speedway in May.
