It also creates a tripleheader weekend for the World of Outlaws in October with the Series visiting LaSalle Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Angell Park Speedway on Sunday, Oct. 19.

“We are excited to bring world-class entertainment such as the World of Outlaws to not only Lincoln Park Speedway, but to the central part of Indiana to finish out our racing season,” Lincoln Park Speedway general managers Tommie and Jen Estes said in a joint statement.

The World of Outlaws and Lincoln Park Speedway already share a partnership with Honest Abe Roofing, which sponsors the track and sponsors Qualifying all year for the World of Outlaws.

There have been three different winners in the Series’ three visits to Lincoln Park – each taking place in a different era. Steve Kinser won the Series’ first race at the track in 1979, Dave Blaney won the second race in 1988, and Donny Schatz won the last World of Outlaws race there in 2016. Of the current full-time World of Outlaws drivers, David Gravel and Logan Schuchart also competed in the 2016 event – Gravel finished second and Schuchart finished 11th.

Lincoln Park Speedway has a rich history of hosting Non-Wing Sprint Car and Midget races. Because of that, World of Outlaws drivers who’ve worked their way up the open-wheel ranks through Non-Wings and Midgets already have several laps around the facility. Chris Windom and Michael “Buddy” Kofoid have each won a USAC Midget race at the track. Kofoid also won a 410 Sprint Car race at Lincoln Park in 2022.
